Kanye West recently came out with a track off of his “The Life Of Pablo” album titled 30 hours.
There’s one part of this song when Kanye says…
I wake up, all veggies no eggs
I hit the gym all chest no legs
Yep, then I made myself a smoothie
Yeah, then me and wifey make a movie
Well I thought it would be fun to come up with a workout routine that embodies Kanye West’s Gym Philosophy. But first lets break down what each lyric says about his Diet / Workout preferences.
I wake up, all veggies no eggs
So right off the bat Kanye hops out of bed and goes straight for the greens! Odds are Kanye is planning on blending these veggies into a smoothie of some sorts, because I don’t see him eating steamed spinach or a kale salad before preforming before millions. (he might get some veggies stuck in his teeth)
While eggs are normally a good food to consume for breakfast (due to their high protein amount and their perfect balance of protein to fat to carbohydrate ratio) it seems Kanye prefers to get a health amount of veggies.
The benefits of eating veggies are
- Great energy source
- High in vitamins and minerals
- low in calories but very filling
- easy for your digestive system to break down
- if you consume them early in the day you no longer have to worry about getting your daily greens in for the rest of the day

Now this lyric I don’t fully agree with but hey who could argue with Ye.
Kanye doesn’t have time for some wimpy leg workouts, he’s a man, heck according to him he’s a god… ( I’ll save that for another time)
All chest and no legs is not a good approach to take when planning to build muscle. It makes your body super strong in one aspect but also very weak in another aspect. (Warning Bad Puns Ahead) I guess Kanye cares more about some asPEC’s of his fitness more than other ASSpects.

After his one sided workout Kanye makes himself a smoothie. Good for you Kanye! A smoothie, especially a protein smoothie is one of the best post workout meals you can consume. A protein smoothie replenishes and repairs the torn muscles fibers and helps your muscle to grow back Bigger, Better, Faster, Stronger.

Well…um, I guess this would fall under the “cardio” category. According to an article I read, “A mere 25 minutes of sex — we’re figuring 10 minutes of foreplay, 15 minutes for the main event — burns 88 calories if you’re a 150-pound woman, 106 calories for a 180-pound guy. That’s the same energy you’d expend doing a light workout on a rowing machine or stationary bike.” Read that article here.
